ITFC 3-0 Leeds 30th March 2013
What better way to warm up the Easter weekend than with a visit from Neil Warnock and "dirty Leeds"? I know that Easter is early this year but I can’t remember having such a severe cold snap at this time of year before, there was a snowstorm on Saturday morning that lasted for about half an hour although it melted quite quickly so the game was never in any doubt.

As usual there was a large vocal following from Yorkshire, many of the 1,823 arriving in a long convoy of coaches brought to the ground with a police escort (there's always a big police presence when Leeds come visiting). They helped swell the gate to 20,402, the highest at Portman Road this season and played their part creating a good atmosphere.

| Ready for the Leeds exodus |
Leeds needed a win to keep their slim playoff dreams alive and looked the most likely winners early on. Scott Loach was back in goal following the recall of Stephen Henderson to West Ham and was kept very busy early on and as a team we weathered United's early storm. Being hard to beat is something that Big Mick & Terry have instilled in us since their arrival.
The pattern of the game changed after thirty-two minutes when Leeds had defender Tom Lees sent off following a dangerous tackle on Jay Tabb. It definitely took the sting out of them but ten men can sometimes be hard to play against. David McGoldrick got Town in front just before halftime heading in from close range after Luke Hyam's own header had rebounded back off the bar.
McGoldrick doubled the lead with a left foot shot from the edge of the area just three minutes after the restart and substitute Jay Emanuel-Thomas wrapped things up with over twenty minutes remaining to make the rest of the match comfortable watching.
Another three points, another clean sheet, this is so not Ipswich but I'm liking it and in the same week that the season ticket renewals hit the doormat, I'm part of IT!
